Does Duskfade have a weapon tier list?
No. Minutero is the only main weapon. Rainbow Ingots are looks. Gadgets sit on Temporal Energy, not a loot ladder.
Duskfade combat: Minutero is the only main weapon. Light and heavy combos, lock-on, perfect dodge, projectile deflection, gadgets, and Cuckoo assists.
Chain-fight footage for Minutero strings, dodges, and output windows. Use the tables below for perfect dodge, projectile deflection, and the 25% gate that is not a sword phase.

This Duskfade combat guide is built around one main weapon: Minutero, Zirian’s clock-hand blade. Light and heavy swings, air and ground strings, lock-on, a perfect dodge that slows time, and slashes that can deflect projectiles. Gadgets are the ranged half. Cuckoo assists. No weapon RPG. | Move | Use it when | Do not |
|---|---|---|
| Light / heavy | Default strings — mix on the ground and in air | Only heavy until the pack surrounds you |
| Lock-on | Keep a target in a crowd or a boss quarter | Assume early builds were a hard lock |
| Perfect dodge | I-frame into a slow-mo punish window | Treat every roll as a perfect |
| Projectile slash | Coverage: a timed swing deflects incoming shots | Call it a published parry frame |
| Gadgets | Blast / Chronoblast when the time-energy bar allows | Empty the bar before a 25% gate |
| Cuckoo | Companion assist in the string | Build a pet DPS rotation |
| Run length | About 11–16 hours main · ~16 hours toward 100% | A second weapon grind |
Duskfade combat is melee-first. Official copy is blunt: combat is primarily melee-focused, then gadgets add range. Learn the sword string before you spend Temporal Energy. Movement cancels (jump, dash, roll) are part of the string, not panic buttons.

| Input | Where it lives | Why you mix it |
|---|---|---|
| Light | Ground and air | Faster hits; safer in a surround; feeds the bar |
| Heavy | Ground and air | Bigger swing; slower recovery if you miss |
| Air string | After jump / double jump | Stay above slam AoE; chase a launched inky |
| Ground string | Default pack fights | Do not jump-cancel every hit — you need i-frames on the roll |
| Lock-on | Crowds and boss quarters | Keeps the camera; early coverage said it was not a hard lock |
| Dash / Dodge Roll | Cancel or reposition | Dash is the gap tool; roll is the grounded i-frame — abilities |
Coverage of opening hours: wide sweeping strikes, not a one-button infinite. Mix light into heavy so recovery does not eat a lunge. Jump is a combo tool when the floor is a slam. There is no published hit count per string — do not invent one.
Zelda-style lock appears in coverage. Early builds were described as not a hard lock — if a target slides off, re-lock instead of spinning the stick through a projectile. Boss quarters need the lock so a Wrath lunge does not leave the camera behind.
The punish that actually changes Duskfade combat is the timed dodge, then the slash that knocks a shot back.
Two timing tools sit at the centre of Duskfade combat. A perfect dodge (just-timed roll) slows time for a punish. A well-timed Minutero swing can deflect projectiles. They are not the same input. Frame data stays TBA.
| Tool | What it does | When it fires | What stays TBA |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dodge Roll | Grounded i-frames; can extend a jump | Default avoid | Exact i-frame length |
| Perfect dodge | Timed dodge → short slow-mo punish | On the attack, not early | Window in frames; whether every enemy can be “perfected” |
| Dash | Gap + i-frame window in coverage | Reposition; air dash later | Whether dash perfects the same way as roll |
| Projectile deflection | Timed slash knocks a shot back | When you can see the projectile and the swing is already coming | Which shots are undeflectable |
| Parry / guard break | Timing tools mentioned in coverage | Unknown — do not bind a fake button | Whether a dedicated parry exists in retail |
Land the timed roll, take the slow-mo, then hit. That window is how packs stop surrounding you and how a boss combat quarter becomes readable. It does not skip a 25% platform exam. If you roll early, you get a normal dodge — still useful, no freeze.
Demo / media coverage: a timed Minutero swing can send projectiles back. Practice on inkies that shoot before you take that habit into Wrath’s spread. A dedicated parry or guard-break button is not confirmed on this page. If your HUD later shows a separate parry prompt, trust the HUD.
No published startup, i-frame count, or “perfect on frame 6” exists here. Drill the feel: roll on the tell, slash on the shot. Potion refill rules stay TBA. First-hours drill: beginner guide.
Once dodge and deflect are habits, the weapon question is already answered — there is only Minutero.
Official Q&A is blunt: Zirian always wields Minutero. This Duskfade combat page will not grow a sword tier list. Rainbow Ingots change how the blade looks. Upgrade nodes change attributes and specials. Gadgets are the other table, not a loot ladder.
| What Minutero is | What it is not |
|---|---|
| Grandfather Tristan’s clock-hand blade — the only main weapon | Sword A / Sword B / Sword C loot |
| Light / heavy / air / ground strings | A published DPS formula |
| Upgradeable attributes and special moves (tree in Tick Town) | A rarity ladder of dropped blades |
| Looks via Rainbow Ingots and Palette-adjacent cosmetics | Power from a gold or silver KH-style skin |
| Can transform / unlock specials in coverage | A second weapon slot |
Combat is melee-first. Gadgets spend Temporal Energy and refill when you deal damage. Demo-confirmed unlocks: Blast Attack and Grapple. Chronoblast is the high-damage blast developers nicknamed a shotgun. Landmine, homing, and time-slow stay community-observed / TBA. Full kit: abilities. Spend order: upgrades.
The mechanical bird helps in exploration and fights. That is companion support, not a second player and not a summon DPS chart. Do not build “Cuckoo auto-battle” as a combat school.
Coverage says Minutero can transform to release special moves. Treat named extras such as a puncture-style “Minotaur Clock Hands” as TBA until this wiki captures the prompt. Cosmetics do not change the string.
The string is enough for packs. Bosses add a second exam. That is the output-window section.
Every chain fight in Duskfade mixes sword combat with a platform phase every 25% HP. Duskfade combat only owns the sword half of that loop. The platform half is movement. Confusing them is how you mash heavy into a charge.

| Phase | Output window | Your job | Where the rest lives |
|---|---|---|---|
| Combat quarter | After a dodge / deflect, while the boss recovers | Lock-on, mix light/heavy, optional gadget | This page |
| Perfect-dodge punish | Slow-mo after a timed roll | Take the free hits; do not dump the whole bar | Dodge section above |
| Gadget burst | Bar available; boss not mid-charge | Chronoblast / Blast, then swing to refill | Abilities |
| 25% / 50% / 75% gate | None — stop melee | Grapple or platform the new layout | Bosses |
| Interrupt | When you arrive on the new perch | Hit to cancel the charge, then resume the sword quarter | Bosses |
Demo / early volcanic coverage: fast lunges, slams, spread and burst shots, then a centre leap into a charge. Combat-quarter answer: lock-on, perfect dodge, deflect shots when the swing is clean. Gate answer: leave the floor, Grapple the outer platforms, close in, interrupt. Later roster names stay TBA — same 25% rule, different geometry.
Dumping Chronoblast on the first pack of a fight leaves you with Jump for the platform exam. Refill by hitting. Coverage says two fights per biome — do not empty potions on fight one if stocks are tight (potion rules TBA).
There is no weapon swap. Spend Upgrade Gears on Grapple / mobility and grab Clock Heart Pieces before a chain. Full phase notes and the Wrath move loop: bosses. Story placement: walkthrough.
Packs use the same grammar without the 25% exam. That is the enemy table.

Ordinary Duskfade combat is Inkies plus clockwork foes. Bosses are the emotion-made-solid layer. This page will not invent a bestiary HP column or a weakness chart.

| Foe | What coverage says | Your default answer | Leave TBA |
|---|---|---|---|
| Inkies | Ink-based regulars; Heartless-adjacent in writeups | Sweeping strings; dodge the surround | Type list, drop tables |
| Clockwork foes | Mechanical enemies in store / reviews | Same Minutero grammar; watch projectiles | A separate “clockwork-only” kit |
| Regional extras | Biome-flavoured threats | Same dodge / deflect rules | Named regulars we have not captured |
| First widely described chain boss | Combat quarter + Grapple interrupt | Published HP | |
| Later bosses | Emotion-themed names in community lists | Same 25% rule | Move sheets — bosses |
Inkies close fast. Jump and roll are part of the string. A perfect dodge is how a pack becomes a slow-mo delete instead of a heal-tax. Do not invent elemental matchups.
Coverage mentions attack indicators (marker / red circle) on incoming hits. Treat them as dodge/deflect cues. They are not a published stagger meter.
Unofficial pages that add gear rarity, classes, or multi-weapon pools are not this game. If a list names a damage formula, ignore it. Difficulty options exist (demo updates mentioned at least four) — they change how hard the same grammar is, not which sword you hold.
If the HUD still disagrees with a name on this page, the FAQ is the short version.
No. Minutero is the only main weapon. Rainbow Ingots are looks. Gadgets sit on Temporal Energy, not a loot ladder.

Coverage: a well-timed Minutero slash can knock shots back. A separate parry / guard-break button stays TBA.

Cuckoo assists. It is not a second weapon pool and not a pet RPG.
